Symposium 2017

This symposium aims to share innovative best practices in community based methodology and management in regards to sustainable Indigenous tourism. This two-day symposium will celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday by enhancing Indigenous tourism in Canada and celebrating our unique identity to the world.

We hope to share knowledge and support community empowerment, cultural expression and economic prosperity amongst Indigenous communities in Canada and internationally. The symposium will end with a think tank to discuss the future of sharing innovations in sustainable indigenous tourism.
